Translation Service
Unfortunately the Fund does not currently have the ability to convert its web pages from English into the many languages used within the UK (such as Gujarati, Urdu, Somali, Tamil etc).

However, we do provide a link to the free translation service from AltaVista and Systran.

This service provides PC translation into several of the common European languages. "Cut and paste" the text or the initial URL of the page that you want translated into the text box on the AltaVista page, select the language that you want and the system will return the text/page with the translated text into the language you have chosen. After this when you select a link you will be transferred to the BabelFish page with the URL already in the box and you can just press enter to have the page translated.

The service currently translates from English into:

French
German
Italian
Portuguese and
Spanish

There are some restrictions on the size of file that can be submitted (5K) and while the translation is understandable it may not prove to be perfect. Another translation service is available free at free translation.com

this works in a similar fashion to the AltaVista service. Users wanting specific translation services should contact their local authority, who may be able to provide specific translation services ~ however the level of the service available does vary from local authority to local authority.
